The 30-year-veteran mechanic and car lover is running a shop in Diamond Springs and really means it when he says, “We’ll treat you right.” Not only does Robinson offer some of the best labor rates in the county, but he also truly cares about his customers. “One of the main things I’m trying to do is bring back not only the essence, but also the honesty and integrity that should be in this industry, but isn’t,” Robinson said. “I mean, there are times when I’ll actually tell a customer they can do some of the easy work themselves, which is totally counter-intuitive to what automotive shops do.” Since opening shop Marty said 98 percent of his business has come from word of mouth. But when it comes to prices in this tough economy, the popularity of Marty’s shop will likely be expanding once word spreads further. “Since opening my doors I’ve done everything I can to keep my overhead low so I can give that savings back to the customers,” he said. ” I’ve found that simple is good.
